Adderall and weightloss

Posted by fitnessbuff

Several women at my gym were talking about taking adderall to lose weight. I'm guessing this isn't healthy at all. Has anyone else heard of this?

Hello - - Welcome to our groups!

I have also heard about people using this drug for weight loss, and you're right to express concern, as it is extremely dangerous to use any type of drug for reasons other than what it has been prescribed for - - and this is assuming that you actually have a prescription.

The safest methods for losing weight are the tried and true diet and exercise techniques - - safe gradual weight loss that won't compromise your health and will keep weight off long term.  We have some great tips in our Diet and Nutrition group, and the group leader also fields many questions.

Good luck!

Why would someone take Adderall if they didn't have to.. that is riduclous but I guess people will go through major lengths to lose any amount of weight.. I would recommend diet and exercise if at all possible.Laughing
