I totally understand what you are saying...i'm practically going through the same thing. I do not take them to get high, just for enough energy to function!

My drug of choice was Hydrocodone. Lost my nursing job of 26 years in May. My doctor has fired me. I now have court dates, NA meetings and looking at maybe 5 years probation (hopefully my lawyer is going to keep me out of jail) with weekly drug test for all of those years. At 48 years old, never thought this would happen to me. I just want enough energy to function again.

I understand your pain and I know what it is like to be addicted to hydrocodone. I am addicted too. I just haven't been in trouble before. I am addicted because I have to take them for chronic pain and others, because I have had two back surgeries in two years and been on meds for six years. I don't know how to tell you to get off of them because I don't know how either I just want to support you anyway that I can. And, did you become an addict by chose or from injury.?? I hope you get it all together and wanted to let you know that I understand
