Allergies

My 2 1/2 year old daughter has 26 different allergies. 8 of them are foods wheat , egg, milk, oat, soy are the hardest to avoid. The rest of her allergies are indoor, outdoor, cats, and dogs. She also has eczema. She has been doing allergy shots for 1 1/2 year now. When should I notice an improvement and what type of improvement should I notice? Can anyone tell me the best lotion to hydrate her skin that doesn't cost a fortune?

I feel for you! My 2 1/2 year old daughter also has many allergies, but only 3 are foods. About the shots, I was told that you should notice a difference after about 2 years or so and it may not be drastic at first but will progress with time. The best lotion I have found is Mary Kay facial moisturizer for sensitive skin. My kids both have exzema and that is the one lotion that truly works the best for both of them. The other one I use is pure lanolin, I put it on them at night before bed. Neither child has had any negative reaction to either of those. The mary Kay lotion can get expensive, but the lanolin is pretty reasonable and you don't need to use much.

My 2 1/2 year old daughter also has allergies to food items. The main one being milk. She eats a lot of fruits and vegtables, and plain meat. I have to be careful with spices. I feel for you. I was diagnosed with Eczema several years ago and the dr. told me to use Sarna lotion. It has camphor in it so you may want to check for allergies to that. It costs anywhere from $10 to $15 per bottle. I can't remember on the allergy shots, my oldest daughter and I both had them years ago. Good luck. What kinds of foods do you buy for your daughter to eat?
