Anxiety

Posted by michele34

Hello everyone.I have a server anxiety disorder. My disorder is panic attacks.  I take medication for it. I was having panic attacks almost everyday. Some would last for 10 minutes and sometimes it would go in and out for hours. Since I've been on the meds. I haven't had 1 panic attack. These panic attacks were ruining my life. Just in my opinion if your anxiety is really bad you should go see a Dr.. Honestly I feel so,so,so much better. I feel like myself again.Yes there are side effects when you first start taking the meds, but it only last for a week or 2. After your body gets adjusted to the meds you will feel like the person who your suppost to be.

Hi, I am new here, but I too have depression and anxiety.  I take meds for both and am in therapy as well. I refuse to take the med for anxiety unless I need to. Lorazepam is addictive, so I only take it as needed. But I guess if it help you its okay, I rarely leave my home so I do not need to take it all the time. Good luck!!Smile

I have been dealing with anxiety for most of my life. Starting few yrs ago have i experienced terrifying panic attacks. Some lasting hours, passing out from hyperventilation and then only waking up to go right back into it. I have tried all families of meds and am UNABLE to tolerate them due to my sensitivity to the side effects. I was on Remeron just last month and i had severe blood pressure fluxuations to the point they're looking to see if it did any damage to my heart.  I still am on Klonopin after 6 yrs and am on such a low dose that there is NO addiction problems (addiction happens at 3 mg or more a day). I went as far as checking myself into a mental hospital to help me try meds in a safe environment since i actually FEAR taking any medication at this point. i was there for 12 days and still have no answers or real relief. As a last resort i am frantically looking for more answers and a better diagnosis from my doctor that i see monthly.
