Any one else here with an adult autistic child? We hear so much about autistic children - but they do grow up!

The biggest challenge is communication. Our son is non-verbal but does know some sign language. He usually will use it only if prompted to do so. We are careful not to change his routine too much, to him routine is RULES. On the other hand, he does enjoy occasional changes if they are pleasant and temporary. Our biggest worry is what will happen to him after we are gone.
