Coping?

Posted by Chelle

I'm new here and I hope I can help some people "cope" with the grief we all face in life when we loose people in our lives. I'm also hoping by talking and sharing I find new ways to deal with My Grief and Anger also. When My Son Larry died in July 1989 from Cystic Fibrosis (age 12) , I was so angry at God, while we were waiting at the hospital ( all of us holding and loving Larry) a nurse came in and said I had a phone call. My cousin called to tell me our PAPA (grandpa) had died from a Heart Attack in the Mens room in the Phionex AirportCry We had a family reunion planned in Iowa and My Nana and Papa had No idea that Larry was dying because we did'nt want them upset on the flight. So now I had to go into Larrys room and tell My Mother her Dad died. I don't know how we all made it through that day and night.

It's said "What does'nt kill you makes you stronger", " God does'nt give you more than you can handle". I don't know about anyone elce, but those phrases take on a whole new meaning when you're grieving.

Thanks for letting me share and vent a bit. I'll write later on My Mom being killed in Hurricane KatrinaCry

Love and Peace, Chelle'
