Car Comfort for Loved Ones

March is finally here; and with it comes thoughts of sunnier, more active days, and more driving during fun-filled family weekends.

While we would never ever put our little ones in cars without the proper comfort and safety equipment, our good friend, Ron Arnold, founder of Assistive Technology Services, reminded our Cafe friends last night that we should take the same precautions for our elder loved ones.

He then went on to share three high-comfort; high-safety; low-cost products that we caregivers could use for our elders:

1.  The Car Bar - offers support to help loved ones out of the car safely and securely.  Helpful for all loved ones with physical challenges.

2.  The Easy Reach Seat Belt Handle - offers an additional 61/2" to grab on to, making it easy for loved ones to pull the seat belt towards them without twisting and turning.  Even glows in the dark for extra safety.

3. The Swivel Seat - is a comfortable, soft foam cushion that rotates on a sturdy base to make getting in and out of the car easier for our loved ones.

Many of us admitted that we hadn't been aware of these simple safety devices that would provide greater comfort for our elders and would certainly provide greater peace of mind for the rest of the family.

To see these and many, many more simple and smart assistive devices for your loved ones, please visit Ron at Assistive Technology Services.

Looking forward to a happy and safe Spring for all, Jackie
