Exercise Hiatus

I'm pretty frustrated because I seem to have fallen off the fitness wagon. For a while there, things were going really strong. Dan and I were running outside a lot, and although my improvement was slow, I WAS improving. I was so proud of myself to have gone from someone who utterly detested running to someone who jogged as a hobby and even ran in some charity 5k races.  But then things got busy (ah the forever excuse. I hate even saying that) and I stopped running as much. And (surprise!) when I went back to it, I found I wasn't as fast or conditioned. I tried not to let my frustration get the best of me, but I guess it did (as well as my busy schedule). So, unfortunately, running dropped off my radar, and so the half marathon next month that I'd started to train for is now just a distant dream. I know I'll get back into things. I always do. I just don't know why I can't stay there for good.

Re: Exercise Hiatus

Hey lady! I know where you are, and don't be discouraged.  It's so easy to get frustrated after time off, but since you've been running for a little while now, you'll get right back into it after a week or so :-)

Fall is the best time for running too!!!

I'm a happy and healthy 29-year old who values her relationships with friends and family. I ADORE dogs and am counting down the days until Dan and I get one. I'm pretty obsessed with nutrition (I'll talk your ear off any day about the wonders of juicing) and am also determined to get into the shape of my life. My new love? Running!
