I Feel Great

My diet and exercise routine is going great. I've been going to the gym pretty frequently and eating right. I had a couple carb-obsessed days (agan, good carbs such as whole wheat pastas and grains are good) but I was going a little overboard on all the wrong stuff. But luckily, I was able to get myself back on track.

I had a special birthday yesterday and all bets were off as I celebrated in culinary style throughout the day. But I'm not feeling bad about it. I refuse to let myself.

Yesterday was such a special day. I felt surrounded by such love as birthday wishes cam to me through all mediums - in person, over email, on the phone. I told my husband that I was so taken aback (in a good way) by all the good wishes. And he reminded me (as he does multiple times a day) that I'm a wonderful person and that I deserve every bit of it.

Sometimes, I'm my worst critic, but as I enter a new decade, I'm really going to try to embrace the idea that I AM a good person. I treat people with love and respect, and I deserve nothing less in return. And the same goes for every one of you. You deserve nothing less as well. Always remember that.

I'm a happy and healthy 29-year old who values her relationships with friends and family. I ADORE dogs and am counting down the days until Dan and I get one. I'm pretty obsessed with nutrition (I'll talk your ear off any day about the wonders of juicing) and am also determined to get into the shape of my life. My new love? Running!
