Help

Posted by db

My husband, Mike, has a progressive m.s. and is dependent on an electric wheelchair.  Transferring is getting to be more difficult and the strain on our marriage is ongoing.  We also have my Mom living with us in the same house.  Mom has the beginnings of dementia and is very frail.  I sure could use someone to talk to.  Donna

Hi Donna,

Unfortunately we have something in common, our husbands with MS.  I just joined & posted a blog.  I am Maria & we live in SWFL now since May 2008 moved from NY.  I struggle alot with my husband & it takes a huge toll on our marriage.  He walks with a walker due to a construction accident he had in 1992 & severed his spine.  I have a huge story, if you like to share & need someone to talk to please email me at cuchie8614@aol.com

I take deep breaths & say a prayer for myself everyday to keep my strength.

Our experts blog about everything from caregiving and addiction to losing weight and staying fit.
