I did and it was the best thing I ever did. I weighed over 450 pounds and had lots of health issue and my doctor said I might not live to see the next year so I decided to have the surgory. I have lost over 170 pounds and have about 100 more to go. i feel so much better. Now I can go out and do my job with more energy. I know I look better now so I can get others to look better. I sell Avon and it is hard to sell beauty products when you dont feel bearutyful!

I did, about 7 years ago. I lost it all and more. I would never have believed it, but I am a size 2-4 now. It used to be hard to find my large size, now I have trouble finding the small size...but this time it feels GREAT!
It wasn't easy but it was the single best thing I ever did for myself. If you need support while struggling though, give me a shout. I'd love to help someone else be successful! Bypass isn't for everyone; it is a life threatening procedure, not for the faint hearted. But I would do it again.
GOOD LUCK!

I did on July 17 of 2008. I have lost a total of 152 Pounds and the only regret that I have is that I waited so long to do it. I still want to lose about another 30 but the weight loss has slowed tremendously. If I dont lose another ounce I am still pleased with the results. I have went from a size 30-32 down to an 8-10. I am lighter now than I have been in almost 30 years. I feel better, I have more energy and I no longer have to take a lot of pain medication to help me cope with my Osteoarthritis.
One of the best decisions I have ever made in my life!

Hi,I'm in the midst of having gastric bypass surgery. Right now I'm having the upper gi, bloodwork, seeing the cardiologist, & pulmonologist, etc. Last year this time I was set to have the surgery, but changed my mind, as nothing helped losing weight, not even joining the gym.So I came back to this alternative, but am very excited this time. Thank you ladies for the positive feedback, because many people were trying to talk me out of it. THANKS A LOT! HONEYBEAD

I had gastric bypass in 2000. I lost over 150 pounds but after having 2 kids, gained 30 back. Just trying to get the extra baggage off now. It was THE BEST decision I ever made. It was not easy by any stretch. The first couple of months is tough. Listen to your doctor, take your vitamins and supplements. Trust me on the Iron and B-12, if you don't, you will have problems. I was a little stubborn and forgot to take them for quite a while and now I have "double anemia". I have to have Iron infusions every few months. It was still worth it. Just don't forget your meds.
