Editorial Policy
Updated: April 5, 2010
Welcome to QualityHealth.com. QualityHealth strives to provide the general public with actionable health information to live healthier and happier lives. The company focus is on audiences in the United States.
The purpose of this policy is to describe the ways in which we strive to ensure the content on our Site is accurate and credible. This policy will also illustrate the differences between our editorial content, our community content, our website links, and our advertisements.
News, features, and other editorial content are determined by an in-house editorial staff, which evaluates consumer interest in particular topics. The regularity of news and feature updates is also dependent on consumer interest.
Unless specifically indicated, QualityHealth's editorial content is independent of any sponsor or advertiser. News will always include the date it was distributed. All content includes relevant sources.
This editorial policy ("Policy") discloses the practices of QualityHealth (a doing-business-as designation of Marketing Technology Solutions, Inc., a Delaware corporation), along with its other affiliate and subsidiary companies (collectively "QualityHealth"), in connection with the Website, www.qualityhealth.com (the "Website" or "Site"), around our editorial and community content. Please also refer to our Terms Of Use and our Privacy Policy for further details.

Sources of Our Content
QualityHealth has four different kinds of content: editorial content, user-generated community content, links to websites, and advertisements. Each of these types of content is distinguished by either visual cues or indicated within the byline:
1. Editorial Content
Editorial content includes feature articles, news, graphics, photographs, videos, quizzes, tips, polls, trackers, and assessment tools that are published on the Site under the direction of our editorial staff.
Editorial content on QualityHealth includes:
(a) Licensed content, which is licensed from trusted names in health care, including ADAM
and Reuters Health among others. ADAM content on QualityHealth was last updated in February 2008.
(b) QualityHealth content.
2. Community Content
Our free online communities make it easy to connect with others who share similar health and lifestyle concerns. Users of QualityHealth can post questions, answers, and comments within our forums and blogs; create their own blogs; and form social support groups. Since community content is, by nature, personal and constantly being created, it is not subject to medical or editorial staff review, and we urge you to use caution when evaluating this information. Please review our Posting Guidelines for more information.
3. Sites We Link To
On occasion we will link to other sites, which may have content that is valuable or relevant based on the section of the Site you are visiting. We are not approving nor endorsing the material on the other site as it has not been subjected to the review processes we apply to QualityHealth content.
4. Advertising
QualityHealth relies on the sale of advertising and promotions to generate revenue. QualityHealth makes a concerted effort to distinguish sponsored offers and advertisements from editorial or community content where applicable. If at any time, the QualityHealth editorial staff feels an offer or advertisement may be confused with unbiased health information, at QualityHealth's sole discretion, we will attempt to label that material with "sponsored" or "advertisement." Please review our Advertising Policy for more information.
Editorial and Medical Review Policies
QualityHealth also abides by the editorial and medical review policies described below.
Licensed Content: Health and medical content that we license from our partners, including ADAM and Reuters Health, among others, is prepared and reviewed under each partner's policies. Our licensors generally have editorial and medical review processes that are equivalent to ours. If the licensor does not meet these criteria, we subject the licensed content to our own editorial and medical review processes.
QualityHealth Content: This content is produced, selected, and reviewed by our staff of health writers and editors. Content that is related to a treatment or condition is subject to medical review by the QualityHealth Medical Advisory Board, composed of health-care professionals with appropriate medical credentials (most often board-certified or board-eligible physicians or Pharm.D.'s). These medical professionals review the content for medical accuracy, safety, and sourcing.
Corrections
QualityHealth's editorial staff attempts to meet the industry standards for editorial content accuracy. We will make reasonable efforts to correct or remove false, misleading, or incorrect editorial content excerpts once they have been brought to our attention.
Revisions may apply to both exclusive QualityHealth and third-party content. Please note that while we will try to make efforts to review and verify licensed content prior to distribution, it is ultimately the responsibility of any third-party publisher to correct any inaccuracies and factual errors.
QualityHealth welcomes reader suggestions, as well as complaints about any product or service or errors that warrant correction. Messages on news articles and features can be emailed to CustomerService@QualityHealth.com.

Any such addition, update, change, modification, or revision will be effective immediately upon posting.
