Hello

Posted by AJ1881

Hello, I just joined. I go back and forth between mostly functioning and barely being able to move. I am finding things very challenging at the moment. I have figured out ways to avoid major flare ups in the last two years. However, right now I am caring for my diabled brother and finding it very stressful and hard work physically. I tend to have more problems in fall and winter anyway becasue of pain from a different medical condition. I fear this year I will not be able to avoid a major flare up which I can't handle right now. I have just settled in with a job that I really like and although they are extremly understanding I am not sure how they would handle a major flare up- I will not be able to work. Any suggestions for ways others avoid flare ups, mine are not working at the moment? Oh, I should probably mention that I recently dislocated several joints in one of my feet and this is not helping my pain management. Ideas, tips?

one suggestion is remember the word NO and also Pace yourself..when you are tired take a rest even though you might feel guilty..I have had fibromyalgia, neuropathy and depression for a long time and I hate it so very much.
