collage of quirks Hollywood has always had its quirky-looking stars. And although their ranks may be thinning in this age of nose jobs and Photoshop, we've rounded up eight celebs who've stuck to their guns — and refuse to shy away from their individuality.

Tyra Banks. Banks often talks about how models have some unusual physical feature that skirts the fine line between beautiful and awkward. For her, it's her "five-head," as she has called it.

tyra banks in bikini with eyes closed "I've always been told by the fashion industry that if my forehead was an inch smaller, I would have been a little too plain-looking. The modeling industry can instill a lot of insecurity in women, but at the same time they find beauty in odd things," she says.

Despite the inevitable (and often cruel) tabloid teasing, Tyra is having the last laugh. Her super dome has helped her become one of the highest-earning models in history and an up-and-coming media mogul. She even beat out Rihanna in this highly insignificant battle of the foreheads.

The President himself quips about it. Asked if he could picture himself on Mount Rushmore, he said, "I don't think my ears would fit. There's only so much rock up there."

As far as voters are concerned, it's what's between the ears that matters.

Tina Fey. Only recently has Fey opened up about her facial scar, the result of a childhood attack by a random stranger. Although covered over when playing characters, she lets it show in photoshoots.

tina fey closeup with scar Fey herself rarely mentions the episode. “It’s impossible to talk about it without somehow seemingly exploiting it and glorifying it,” she told Vanity Fair.

But her husband Jeff Richmond considers it an integral part of Fey's character: "That scar was fascinating to me. This is somebody who, no matter what it was, has gone through something. And I think it really informs the way she thinks about her life. When you have that kind of thing happen to you, that makes you scared of certain things, that makes you frightened of different things, your comedy comes out in a different kind of way, and it also makes you feel for people.”

padma lakshmi host of top chef Padma Lakshmi. Lakshmi most likely agrees with Richmond's thinking. The host of Top Chef has a seven inch scar on her arm from a very severe childhood car accident.

For her, it's become a badge of survival, and something that tells her unique story. "I’m not sure I would remove it even if a doctor could wave a magic wand and delete it from my arm. The scar has singled me out and made me who I am."

supermodel karolina kurkova in bikini without belly button Karolina Kurkova. This 24-year-old supermodel and Victoria Secret angel has never spoken publicly about her lack of a belly button.

At first her rep merely confirmed that "she is not an alien," but last month revealed that it is the result of a childhood operation in her native Czechoslovakia.

Originally airbrushed back into photographs, lately this quirky flaw has been left untouched.

British singer Seal Seal. Early in Seal's career, the cause of his facial scars was a source of wild speculation – ritual scarification, a wolf bite, a motorcycle accident, a violent youth.

The actual cause is a childhood bout of discoid lupus, a disease he still battles. Seal only recently starting talking about his history with lupus, and last year was honored by the Lupus LA foundation. Words of wisdom from Seal: "True beauty is internal and eternal – it doesn't matter what's only skin deep."

sarah jessica parker profile Sarah Jessica Parker. This glamorous fashionista has always brushed off the idea of a nose job, opting for character and uniqueness over cookie-cutter looks: "I believe in aging gracefully – and, of course, buying as many anti-aging creams as possible."

Although her rep has denied it, Parker appears to have removed her other signature feature – her chin mole. Hopefully this is not the precursor to a nose job.

angelina jolie closeup Angelina Jolie. Large, full lips were not in vogue before Jolie hit the scene in the late 90's.

Restylane and collagen makers should rejoice – lip augmentation has become one of the most requested procedures at clinics across the country largely because of Angelina's pout.
