Hardtack Biscuits

Cooking time: 40 min


1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 cup water
1/2 tsp salt, optional
2 cups stone ground flour

Cooking Directions:

Knead ingredients until smooth. Roll the dough flat until about .25 in. thick. Cut into rounded biscuits about 3 in. in diameter. Poke holes in each biscuit with fork. Place on floured cookie sheet and bake at 400°F for about 40 minutes.
