Afraid to get tested

Posted by fitnessbuff

I've been telling myself that I need to get tested for a year now but I'm so afraid to do it. What happens if (God forbid) I have HIV??? I don't know how I would be able to survive. The fear is crippling.

Hello! Welcome to our support groups.

It's understandable and normal that you're nervous, but to ease your mind and ensure your safety (and that of your partner) you need to get it done.  Maybe have a friend come with you or something to help calm your nerves?

Good luck!

CoolHi, I'm Mr. Happy!!  I say this because I am HIV postive and I've decided to accept my new of live by joining with AID Atlanta.  My first appointment  was today and my case manager is the best.  I told him he's not going anywhere nor I'm I because God is going to do for me for what I can't do for myself.  With that in mind I have nothing to fear.  I decided that my internal medicine doctor is going to select for me who he feels will be my HIV doctor , that way he as well him can discuss my case and its up to me to follow what they say I must do to stay healthy. Saying that I have nothing to fear nothing!!!
