Sharon Zarabi, nutrition at Lenox Hill Hospital, has devoted her life and career to healthy living. A Registered Dietitian/Certified Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Personal Fitness Trainer, Sharon received certification from the International Fitness Professional's Association. Sharon's focus is on empowering individuals to keep the weight off by adapting a healthier lifestyle.

Using the "no diet" approach, Sharon teaches people how to differentiate between healthy meals and empty calories, what nutritional values to look for in foods to maintain a healthy weight, and the importance that vitamins and minerals play in the process of ensuring an energized lifestyle.

Sharon is a frequent contributor of nutrition and fitness articles and has been published in Time Out New York, Bariatric Times, and BariMD. She counsels employees of the Discovery Channel, coordinates the nutrition program for the bariatric surgery department at a New York hospital, organizes educational sessions on current nutrition topics, and conducts fitness classes.

Sharon is an active member of several nutritional associations including The American Dietetic Association (ADA); American Society for Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery (ASMBS); Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition (SCAN); American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM); IDEA Health and Fitness Association; International Fitness Professional Association (IFPA); and the ECA World Fitness Alliance. Sharon earned her degree in Nutrition from New York University and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition.
