I know how you feel. I have had them since I was 6 yrs old. Doctors were baffled. The only pain pill that helps is Lorcet.  But, when I get one so bad that I start throwing up, I have to go to the hospital for a Demerol shot, because once you get to the puking point, you cannot hold anything down. No drink, or medicine! I went to a migrain study and they gave me the real drugs. NONE of them worked. The worst one was Zomig. My throat swelled up and I had chest pain on top of the migrain that got worse.

Hey guys,

Sorry you suffer like I do.  I've had them since I was 19, and the only relief was demerol/visteril shots.  Around 3 yrs ago, I started giving myself injections of dem/vis at home...125/50mg.  It beats going to the friggin ER...they hospitalized me for 30 days in 3-4 mnths, and I just couldn't do it anymore.  Unfortunately, 1 shot used to help, but now, since menopause its gotten worse.  They're thinking of giving me those lollipops, cause I can't take anything oral (vomiting), and the shots just plain hurt.  Have you guys tried the lollipops?  It gets absorbed into your system without using ur digestive tract which shuts down during migraines.  Any questions, write me at mcden@verizon.net
