Good Morning! I am new here, so I will introduce myself... My name is Devin, I am 28 and have a condition called Chiari Malformation, Cervical Cranial Instability, Tethered Cord Syndrome, Chronic Pain
I have been working with a pain management group for 3 years and am on a pretty good mix of meds finally that i can function on, and it takes the pain edge of. I am getting ready to have major surgery on July 31, which I am nervous about. I am always tired, get irritable and my meds only work 4 hours at a time approx....My life is forever changed due to my disorder and constant pain. I had brain surgery 4 years ago and it left me as a bobble head(no joke) therefore my neck kills every second of every day.
I am anxious to chat with and get to know you all......

Hi Devin! My name is Denise. I also have Chiari Malformation, some bad disks in my back, bone spurs on my neck, then to top it all off I went and had an accident that has left most of my right hip with nothing but metal and screws. The worst part of it all, is that with the accident, I almost tore my siatica in two, and it's affecting my right foot. My Dr. says nothing standing or sitting for at least a year, a year! I can't do anything because if I'm on it more than 15 minutes, my ankle blows up like a balloon. My Dr. says that there's really nothing that can be done, and that it may not get better, it'll probably get worse because of the way nerves grow back ( and the slow rate they grow). If anyone knows any different, I sure would LOVE to know! The pain is horrindous! (And I thought the pain with everything before the accident was bad?) My e-mail address is neici52000@yahoo.com Thanks for listening!!
