Oh yeah, thyroid ectomy 2008 due to Graves Disease, medications still being adjusted. About a month ago, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Disease.

All I can say is "WOW!" I'm shocked that none of this was discussed with your Dr prior to this procedure? I had the same issue almost identical in 2007, it was decided that due to a Thyroids ability to 're-grow' itself to have a total Thyroidectomy done.    Read more...

There is definitely a link between weight gain and hypothryroidism. The thyroid gland regulates your metabolism and if it's under active, your metabolism slows down. Definitely go see a doctor who specializes in this field.    Read more...
