I am 63 years young, went thru the change at the ripe ole age of 36 Years!. Never on hormone therapy since back then too many complications and risks.
I have been experiencing painful sex with hubby and doctor says I have thining of the membranes and wants me to see a woman's specialist which is scheduled for next week. My doctor would not fully discuss since she wanted a second opinion but did say possibly just need some hormones, but I noticed she did write 2 items on the referral (mild lichon plantus or labia minora dyspareunia) neither one sounds too good!! and of course trying to explain to a hubby who still thinks he is 19 years old sexually even tho he has problems himself is not helping my emotional or mental state with this...
so I can face diabetes head on but this is a little tough and personal, and no one to talk with as yet, sister is no help, I got jokes!! not cool
