Mayo Clinic Minute: Hidden Sugars
The updated Dietary Guidelines for Americans say you should limit added sugars to less than 10 percent of total daily calories, about 12 teaspoons for a 2000-calorie diet. Hitting that goal will mean looking for sugar in places where you might not expect to find it.
