Weight Loss: Bariatric Surgery Vs. Exercise
According to the Centers for Disease Control, almost 70% of adults over the age of 20 are overweight. Needless to say, most Americans have dieted and exercised without much luck. Now, researchers in Switzerland find that people who had weight loss surgery lost more weight when combined with other weight loss strategies and diabetes was five times more likely to go away if they had weight loss surgery -- and the study doesn't surprise bariatric surgeons.
