The Symptoms of a Transient Ischemic Attack
A transient ischemic attack (TIA) is often referred to as a mini-stroke, as it causes temporary neurologic dysfunction, sparked by a sudden loss of blood flow. TIA can happen to anyone at any age, and tends to be a warning sign for an impending stroke. Dr. Freda Lewis-Hall, Chief Medical Officer of Pfizer, gives tips to recognize the symptoms of TIA.
