If your relationship's been nearly as chilly as the cold, dark winter, it may be time to warm things up with a spring relationship cleanup. Along with those showers and flowers comes a hint of romance; so take advantage of the warmer, longer days and the great outdoors. Take your partner's hand and resolve to rejuvenate your relationship now. Here's how.

10 Tips to Polish Your Partnership

1. Take up a new hobby with your partner, suggests Carole Lieberman, MD, a Los Angeles psychiatrist and author of "Bad Girls: Why Men Love Them and How Good Girls Can Learn Their Secrets."  It could be anything - biking, spinning, hiking, dancing. "The important thing is to do it together and to get out of the house with each other," Lieberman says.

2. Go to the mall together and buy each other a spring outfit. "You both get to freshen up your wardrobe, and it's a way to have fun," Lieberman says.

3. Find a secluded spot outdoors to be intimate. "With the warm breezes, it's always exciting," Lieberman says.

4. Buy a new set of bed linens for spring, or refresh your whole bedroom, Lieberman says. "Or pick just one part of the house that you want to freshen up," she says.

5. Try something new in the bedroom. "If you haven't tried anything new recently, make this the spring that you do,"  suggests Debra Laino, DHS, M.ED, MS. "Bring food into the relationship, put the blanket on the floor, and sit naked together, eating strawberries and w hipped cream." And drinking champagne,  of course.

6. Take advantage of the weather to exercise together outside. "Exercise makes you feel better," Laino says. Additionally, weight loss has been found to contribute to a stronger libido and better overall sex.

7. Plan a spring date night where you can review your relationship and look at its different aspects, says Sonia Rahel-Ahmadzai, LMFT. "Talk about your parenting styles, look at the financial decisions you have made, and talk about what's working and not working," she says. "Create an individualized checklist of things you want to work on together to ensure security in your relationship."

8. Buy yourself some sexy, colorful lingerie, Laino suggests. "Spring is the time to play around with clothing and colors and make yourself feel sexy," she says.

9. Take a mini vacation away from each other, suggests Lieberman. She may want to go for a spa weekend, and he wants to take a day trip or a weekend trip to see a baseball game. "Chances are you both like to do something the other one doesn't like to do," Lieberman says. This is the perfect chance to indulge, and you'll feel revitalized when you're back together again.

10. Figure out what makes the other one laugh. "Having fun in a relationship can lead to a desire for sex," Laino says. And sex, especially in the warm weather, draws a couple together and strengthens a relationship.
