Treating Urinary Tract Infections

Urinary tract infections (UTI) are common. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services reports that UTIs are responsible for 8.1 million trips to health care providers each year. All adults and children are susceptible to UTIs; however, women are at greatest risk. Symptoms vary depending on the severity of the infection, and include pain when urinating, abdominal discomfort and fever.
