am i alone

i have had migraines for 18 years and have tried many treatments. I can't take imitrex or any of the other triptan drugs. the only thing that helps me is Fioricet. Am I alone in this? If there is anyone else with this problem, let me know.

Hello. I am exactly the same.  I am allergic to Imitrex and Zomig, have anaphylactic reaction.  So I am left with Fioricet, but sometimes that doesn't work either.  I have to take 2 or 3 or 4 pills sometimes before I get any relief at all!

I could not take any of the triptans either.  They didn't do a thing for my migraines.  Had migranes for 28yrs.  I just had gastric bypass recently and am off almost all medicines I was on.  Now migraines are gone.  Thank God.  I do get small headaches once in awhile but nothing like before.  They were so bad I had to go to hospital to get a shot.  Because I just kept throwing up and never stopped for days.  I'm so happy now.  That's not why I had surgery though.  I'm obese so had the surgery.  Have lost 47lbs.  Maybe thats why migraines went away.  I feel for all of you and I understand how you all feel.  Good luck.
