Cauliflower Gruyére au Gratin
Ingredients:
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1-1/2 tbsp all purpose flour
1 cup half and half
1/2 cup Gruyere cheese, grated
1 head cauliflower, leaves trimmed
Cooking Directions:Place whole cauliflower in 1 inch water in a covered saucepan over medium high heat. Steam 10-12 minutes until almost tender. Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. When bubbly, stir in flour to combine. Gradually stir in half and half. Cook 4-5 minutes, stirring constantly until sauce thickens. Remove from heat. Stir in cheese and salt and pepper to taste until cheese is melted. Preheat oven to 400°F. Place cauliflower in a buttered casserole dish. Pour cheese sauce over cauliflower.
