Women's Heart Attack Symptoms Very Different from Men's
HLN reports a new study shows women often have no chest pain and fewer symptoms during a heart attack, making them more likely to be misdiagnosed and raising the risk of death. Canadian researchers looked at 1,000 patients, age 55 and younger. The symptoms women feel are easily mistaken for side effects of stress or even indigestion. Doctors recommend that women be proactive about their health and have a good relationship with their doctors, as most heart attacks are completely preventable.
